Automic / Application Manager

Automic Application Manager

Automic Application Manager is the job scheduling and automation platform used by campus departments to keep recurring processes running on time, without requiring manual effort from your team.

What Can Be Automated?

EAS can build and schedule a wide range of automated jobs for your department. Common examples include:

  • 📁 File Transfers
  • ⚙️ Banner Batch Job Automation
  • 🏫 Financial Aid ISIR Processing
  • 🔄 Vendor Data Exchanges & File Processing
  • 💰 Payroll & Benefits File Processing
  • 📅 Month-End & Fiscal Processing
  • 📨 Automated Notifications
  • 🔗 Third-Party System Integrations
  • 🏫 Student Records & Enrollment Updates

If your team runs a process manually on a regular schedule, there is a good chance it can be automated. Not sure if your process qualifies? Submit a request and EAS will evaluate it with you.

Available Services

🔑 Automic Access Request

Request new access to Application Manager, update an existing user's role, or remove access for someone who no longer needs it. Download and complete the Access Request Form before submitting. Your supervisor and department head signatures are required.

⚙️ Request New Automated Job

Request that EAS build a new automated job for your department. Once your request is received, EAS will schedule a kickoff meeting to review your process before building begins. If you need a change or enhancement to an existing job, please submit this same request type and note in the description that it is an enhancement.

🚨 Automic Job Failure

Report a job that has failed, did not run at its scheduled time, or produced unexpected results. Include the job name, the date and time of the issue, and any error messages you received. Job failure tickets should be submitted as soon as possible.

🔧 Automic Support Request

Submit a general support request for Application Manager that does not involve a job failure. This includes questions about an existing job, requests for job modifications, or anything that does not fit one of the other service types. Provide as much detail as possible so EAS can follow up efficiently.

Important Information
  • Automic Access Request tickets require a completed, signed Access Request Form attached. Requests submitted without it cannot be processed. Access is provisioned within 3 business days of receiving a complete request.
  • Request New Automated Job tickets start the intake process and do not immediately begin a build. EAS will schedule a kickoff meeting to review your requirements before any work begins. This request type also covers enhancements to existing jobs. Please note in your description whether you are requesting something new or an enhancement.
  • Automic Job Failure tickets should be submitted as soon as possible. The more detail you provide, including the job name, time of failure, and any error messages, the faster EAS can investigate.
  • Automic Support Request tickets for jobs in Production may require re-testing and additional coordination before changes are applied.
  • Some requests may require review or approval from additional teams before completion.

Before you submit: Choose the request type that best matches your need. For access requests, please attach your completed and signed Access Request Form. For job-related requests, include the job name and as much detail as possible about the issue or change needed. The more information you provide, the faster EAS can route and resolve your request.
