Request assistance with university-owned or university-managed iPads, including purchases, setup, applications, damage, lost or stolen devices, resets, returns, and graduate releases.
Service Overview
Use this service to request assistance with an iPad owned or managed by North Carolina A&T State University. Select the request type that most closely matches your need. Additional questions will appear based on your selection, and the request will be routed to the appropriate ITS support team.
Personal iPads are not supported through this service. For a personal device, contact Apple, the retailer, or an authorized repair provider.

Available iPad Services
iPad Purchase Consultation
Request assistance selecting an appropriate iPad model, quantity, accessories, and configuration for university business or instructional needs. Enterprise Endpoint Management will provide a recommendation or quote. The requesting department is responsible for completing the approved purchase through AggieMart.
iPad Deployment and Setup
Request enrollment, configuration, assignment, reassignment, or deployment of a university-owned iPad. This may include required application installation or preparation for individual or shared departmental use.
Software and Application Support
Request assistance installing, updating, configuring, or troubleshooting software and applications on a university-managed iPad.
Damaged iPad
Report physical damage, hardware failure, battery problems, charging issues, or another device-related concern. Available support and next steps may depend on whether the iPad is assigned to an Amped Up student, an employee, or a university department.
Lost, Stolen, Found, or Pawned iPad
Report a university-managed iPad that has been lost, stolen, found, or located at or acquired through a pawn shop, thrift store, online marketplace, or another third-party source.
iPad Reset
Request that a university-managed iPad be erased and reconfigured. Forgotten device passcodes cannot be individually recovered or reset. The iPad must be erased, and all information stored locally on the device will be removed.
iPad Return
Request assistance returning a university-managed iPad because of employee or student separation, device reassignment, replacement, refresh, or another university business need.
Graduate iPad Release
Request the release of an eligible graduate iPad from university management. Eligibility must be verified before the device can be released. Processing may require coordination among the Registrar, Enterprise Endpoint Management, Client Technology Services, and other university offices.
Other iPad Request
Submit an iPad-related request that does not fit one of the available request types. Provide a detailed description of the assistance needed so the request can be reviewed and routed appropriately.
Who Can Submit a Request?
- Students assigned an eligible university-managed iPad
- Faculty and staff assigned a university-owned or university-managed iPad
- University departments responsible for department-owned or shared iPads
- Authorized university employees requesting an iPad purchase consultation or deployment
- Individuals reporting a university-managed iPad that has been found or acquired through a third party
Information to Have Ready
Depending on the request type, you may be asked to provide:
- Device serial number or university asset tag
- Name of the person currently assigned to or using the iPad
- Device ownership type, such as Amped Up student, employee-assigned, or department-owned
- Department or university program responsible for the device
- Current device location
- Description of the request, problem, or incident
- Photos, receipts, police reports, or other supporting documentation when applicable
- Date the equipment, service, or resolution is needed
Tip: The serial number may be found in Settings > General > About, on the original packaging, or in the device information associated with the user’s Apple account.
What Happens After You Submit?
After the request is submitted, the assigned support team may:
- Review the device and request information provided
- Contact you for additional information or documentation
- Verify device ownership, assignment, management status, or eligibility
- Review university device-management and asset records
- Coordinate with another ITS team or university department
- Provide instructions or schedule additional assistance
- Update the request as work progresses
Submitting a request does not guarantee repair, replacement, recovery, purchase approval, release from university management, or graduate-release eligibility.
Important Information
- This service is intended for university-owned or university-managed iPads.
- Personal iPads are not supported through this service.
- Additional questions will appear based on the selected request type.
- Complete and accurate information will help ITS review and route the request efficiently.
- Some requests may require approval, device verification, eligibility review, or coordination with another university office.
- Purchase consultations provide recommendations or quotes. Departments must complete approved purchases through AggieMart.
- Department-owned iPads may have different repair and replacement responsibilities from Amped Up or employee-assigned devices.
- An iPad reset erases the device. Back up any necessary information before submitting a reset request.
- Lost or stolen devices should be reported immediately. A police report may be required.
- Do not attempt to personally recover a device from a seller, pawn shop, thrift store, online marketplace, or another third party. Contact law enforcement when appropriate.
- Submission of a request does not guarantee repair, replacement, recovery, release, or eligibility.
Protect your account: Never include your Apple Account password, OneID password, multifactor authentication code, device passcode, or other sensitive account information in the request.
