Understanding Our Wireless Networks

Aggie_Guest

Best for entertainment and smart devices.

  • Gaming consoles (PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch)
  • Smart TVs and streaming devices (Roku, Fire Stick, Apple TV)
  • Smart speakers and other IoT devices
Registration Required: These devices must be registered before connecting.

Aggie_Pride

The primary network for everyday use.

  • Laptops
  • Smartphones
  • Tablets

Eduroam

A secure global Wi‑Fi network.

Eduroam is available at NC A&T and thousands of universities worldwide. It is ideal for those who travel or participate in academic activities off campus.

Registering Your Devices

Most entertainment and smart devices cannot sign in using Aggie credentials. These devices must be registered to ensure network security and performance.

How to Register a Device

  1. Visit the Self‑Registration Portal.
  2. Sign in using your Aggie credentials.
  3. Follow the on‑screen instructions to add your device.
  4. (Connecting Gaming and Entertainment devices requires this registration)

⚠️ Important Network Policy Notice

Personal home routers, wireless extenders, mesh systems, and similar networking devices are not allowed on the campus network, including residential halls.

  • Do not connect personal routers to Ethernet ports in residential rooms.
