Campus-Wide Legacy Telephone System 2026 Upgrade Schedule

Overview

ITS is replacing legacy copper telephone lines across campus with modern wireless technology to meet telecommunications industry phase-out requirements.  Work is currently underway across campus for upgrading Blue Lights, Elevators, Fax Machines, etc. Desk phones have already been moved to modern technology. 

During installation and testing, affected areas may experience temporary service interruptions to Blue Light phones, Elevator Phones, and Fax Machines.

Once complete, these systems will have improved call quality and long-term reliability.
