Overview

Canvas becomes North Carolina A&T State University’s learning management system beginning Fall 2026. Faculty and staff can access Canvas to review available course shells, prepare courses, complete training, and become familiar with Canvas tools.

Access Canvas

Faculty and staff can access Canvas at ncat.instructure.com using their university OneID credentials.

Getting Started With Canvas

  1. Go to https://ncat.instructure.com.
  2. Sign in using your OneID@ncat.edu username and OneID password.
  3. Complete multifactor authentication if prompted.
  4. Review the courses and organizations displayed on your Dashboard.
  5. Select Courses and then All Courses to view additional course shells.
  6. Complete the available Canvas training before preparing or delivering a course.

The Accessing Canvas for the First Time video is approximately seven minutes.
