Connecting to Campus Wi-Fi
Learn which wireless network to use and how to connect Windows, Mac, Chromebook, and other devices to Wi-Fi on campus.
Overview
North Carolina A&T provides several wireless networks for students, faculty, staff, guests, and supported devices. The network you should select depends on your university affiliation and the type of device you are connecting.
Recommended Network
Students, faculty, and staff should use AggiePride as their primary wireless network while on campus.
Available Wi-Fi Networks
AggiePride
The primary campus wireless network for North Carolina A&T students, faculty, and staff. A university OneID username and password are required.
Aggie_Guest
The wireless network for campus visitors and devices that cannot use standard university authentication. This may include gaming consoles, smart televisions, streaming devices, and certain other personal devices in university residence halls.
eduroam
A secure wireless service available to participating education and research institutions. North Carolina A&T users can connect to eduroam on campus and may also use it when visiting other participating institutions.

Troubleshooting Wi-Fi Problems
If your device does not connect, try the following:
- Confirm that Wi-Fi is turned on and Airplane Mode is turned off.
- Confirm that you selected the correct wireless network.
- Reenter your OneID username and current password.
- If AggiePride does not accept only your OneID username, try entering it as OneID@ncat.edu.
- Forget or remove the saved network, and then reconnect.
- Restart the device.
- Confirm that your OneID password has not expired.
- Test whether your OneID and password work with another university service, such as Microsoft 365.
- If you recently changed your password, remove the saved Wi-Fi network and reconnect using the new password.
- Move to another campus location to determine whether the problem is limited to a particular building or area.
Forget a Saved Network
If your device continues trying to use an old password or saved configuration, forget the network before reconnecting.
- Windows: Open Settings, select Network & Internet, select Wi-Fi, select Manage known networks, choose the network, and select Forget.
- Mac: Open System Settings, select Wi-Fi, locate the saved network, select its details or options, and choose Forget This Network.
- iPhone or iPad: Open Settings, select Wi-Fi, select the information icon beside the network, and select Forget This Network.
- Android: Open Settings, select Wi-Fi or Network & Internet, select the saved network, and choose Forget.
- Chromebook: Open Settings, select Network, select Wi-Fi, select Known networks, choose the network, and select Forget.
New Students and Employees
If you received a temporary password, you may need to create a permanent OneID password before connecting to campus Wi-Fi. The new password must meet the university’s password requirements.
If your password has expired or is not working, use the Password Reset service.
